WCWC Research Collaborators

Opportunities to Collaborate with Walkerton Clean Water Centre

Walkerton Clean Water Centre (Centre) seeks collaborators for applied research opportunities. Interested researchers from universities, colleges and other research institutions are invited to contact us to discuss research collaboration opportunities.

Who we are looking for:

  • Research collaborators from colleges and universities
  • Industry collaborators
  • Consulting engineering firms
  • Municipalities and water treatment facilities
  • Other not-for-profit research organizations

Benefits we offer to you:

The Centre has both expert staff and an outstanding Technology Demonstration Facility to contribute to these alliances.

  • Our Facility:
    • We have the unique capacity to test different water technologies side-by-side using the same source water. The Technology Demonstration Facility holds a large variety of different technologies that can be tested using different raw water sources. These technologies are already set up and established in our facility, so your research team can save time on experimental design, set-up and equipment installations. We welcome new technologies to the facility to accommodate specific research projects.

The Centre will not make a claim on either intellectual property or potential financial gains resulting from new technologies and services. As appropriate, the Centre will enhance research alliances by providing limited support such as covering the cost of travel and accommodation or providing in-kind support to graduate students conducting research projects at the Centre.

Calls for Proposals

Throughout the year, the Centre will work with research collaborators to respond to calls for proposals from organizations providing research funding. The Centre is interested in working collaboratively with alliances to respond to calls for proposals that fit our research priorities. For more information on collaborating with the Centre please contact Dr. Souleymane Ndiongue, Chair of the Centre's Research Advisory Committee at 519-881-2003 ext. 308 or sndiongue@wcwc.ca
