This course will provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the present day Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
Participants will learn about the various components of the SCADA system and what purpose each serves in the system.
Group activities will provide attendees an opportunity to learn more about the signals useful for identifying information provided by field devices or software, defining Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) characteristics, and the Human Machine Interface (HMI). Sessions scheduled at the Walkerton Clean Water Centre will include hands-on activities using a simulated SCADA system in our Technology Demonstration Facility.
FYI – The Best Western in Walkerton directly across the street from the Centre offers a guaranteed rate of $146.00 + tax (single occupancy) to people coming to the Centre for training. The code to be used when booking to get this rate is WCWC and you need to call direct to the hotel at 226-436-3030.
