This course has been developed to provide water professionals with a comprehensive review of waterborne disease outbreaks that have occurred in Canada and the United States over the past few decades. The focus is on what we have learned from these disasters and how to avoid making the same mistakes in the future. Experience has demonstrated that tragic loss of life due to waterborne disease is a real threat to drinking water production and this course is intended to provide information on preventing such outbreaks.
Target Audience
This course will be of interest to a wide audience including all drinking water professionals; managers, consultants, regulatory personnel, engineers, operators and municipal officials. The workshop material is also suitable for the general public.
