Postdoctoral Fellow – One year contract position (Salary $51,500 per year)
The Walkerton Clean Water Centre (WCWC) is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to contribute to the implementation of its research plan. At its discretion, WCWC may consider research proposals that are within the scope of its mandate and will benefit the Ontario water sector. In addition, there may be opportunities to contribute to hands-on training for water operators. The position is based in Walkerton; however travel will be required to conduct pilot and field scale testing and sampling.

Initial appointment will be for a duration of one year. Based on mutual satisfaction, the appointment may be extended for one additional year for a total tenure of two years. An attractive benefits package will be provided and the salary will be $51,500 per year during the maximum two year period.

The ideal candidate will have:

• PhD in sciences, environmental, civil or chemical engineering specializing in water quality and treatment
• Extensive experience in laboratory and pilot testing
• Ability to conduct and assign research tasks
• Ability to prepare research proposals
• Ability to present and publish research findings
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
