The Walkerton Clean Water Centre (WCWC) is seeking a qualified professional to fill the role of Administrative Assistant for a six (6) month full time contract.

WCWC Training Operations

Position:  Administrative Assistant

Job Classification: Band 1 OAD 8-9

Salary Range:  $43,777.50 - $53,332.50

Purpose of position

This Administrative Assistant would provide support to the Training Operations Team and the Office of the CEO. This position reports to the Manager of Training Operations.

Duties/responsibilities

In this role, the incumbent:

  • would perform a variety of administrative tasks which could include filing, data input, proofreading, typing up letters, minutes, presentations, newsletters, etc.
  • The position may provide customer service in person and over the phone to our clients and the general public.  Cover reception duties as required.  
  • Backfill administrative duties of training operations team members and Office of the CEO team members when their attention is required on other projects.
  • Administrative work on special projects as required, as well as assisting in projects to develop standard operating procedures and manuals for various processes throughout the Centre.

Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of the position Manager.

Job & Knowledge Requirements:

·         A High school diploma is required.

·         A two year diploma in office administration/business would be an asset. 

·         Microsoft Office experience including word, excel, power point, outlook and publisher is required. 

·         A minimum of six months experience in an administrative role is required.
