Mobile Training Unit
To facilitate access to high-quality on-site training for small drinking water system owners, operators, and operating authorities across Ontario, the Centre introduced a self-contained drinking water training and technology demonstration mobile training unit (MTU).
The MTU is equipped with leading-edge drinking water treatment demonstration equipment. The MTU has a class room and laboratory and includes a wide range of equipment from handheld colorimeter, turbidimeter, spectrophotometer and a jar tester for training.
The Centre currently operates one MTU, through an agreement with Confederation College of Applied Arts and Technology in Thunder Bay. Confederation College delivers training using the MTU and also attends regional conferences and other events.
